Fighter Question

I have 1st Edition Fleet Book, Rule book, and Armageddon. As such, I have no idea what the Rutarian, Gorith, or the Razik do. Since I don't know when, or if, they were published in S&P, will those stats be posted in 2nd Edition or do I still need to purchase Sky Full of Stars?

How does the rule for rutarians work?

It says

rutarians may be purchased separetely, or may replace up to four Sentri flights as a single patrol choice.

Does this mean u buy four flights of Sentri for a patrol point just to get those extra two Rutarians - in campaigns and such where u might want to change em?

Or, does it mean you can buy up to four Rutarian flights, but never more then four flights???

OR, replace four Sentris/Razik with Rutarians from ships???

Wow... that definitely gets a...

It means you can replace up to four sentris in a carrier with Rutarians, for a single Patrol choice.

It's really very simple. For a patrol point you can:

A, replace four exisiting Sentri flights aboard ships in your fleets with Rutarian flights, or,

B, purchase an independant wing of two Rutarian flights.

In my opinion this is the better option; you don't get as many Rutarians but you have more fighters overall. The 2nd ed stats for Sentris are pretty decent, they're useful fighters now so replacing them all willy-nilly with Rutarians is costly and wasteful.

lol

Good old MTG, a bit converted but still

I just think this forum is so messy with new msg and not sticky stragety post for every race etc

It just confused me when it is only mentioned that Raziks may replace Sentris not Rutarians

thanks for the quick reply, and funny one =)

Raziks can be swapped one for one, free of charge. Plenty of them lying about. Rutarians are expensive and uncommon so you have to pay to use them.

And, from a gameplay perspective, an overall superior fighter. If the upgrade to Rutarians was free you would never see Sentris on the battlefield, short of playing by ISDs.
