Farewell Banned Beetle

Rurik

Mongoose
We hardly knew ya...

Nice review, very useful and helpfull. And thanks for getting back to all the questions before being squashed. 1d6+2 for the Klanth I can live with (I was gonna go with 1d8 or 1d8+1 if I changed it, but I'll use 1d6+2 happily).

I assume you ordered all your books directly from MP (or used too anyway) as you get them weeks before the rest of us (and I still hate you for that) - unfortunately that doesn't seem to buy you much leeway.

Maybe Humakt will see fit to resurrect you....

And he was doing so well.

Maybe coming back as something other than a beetle might help.

That and not rubbing their noses in the fact that he is back.

Incessant whining and being generally obnoxious will get a ban.

Criticism is fine but there is a line that pretty much everyone else manages not to cross.

Coming back repeatedly as various forms of cephalopods is neither here or there.......

I will say the boards are quite lively on Trif banning days.

I'm not sure if it is the level of activity that leads to the bannings or vice-versa, but we should have a bug banning day at least once a week I think.

you know, the scientist speculate that Cockroaches will be the only species to survive a nuclear armageddon :P

That just scared the unholy hell out of me. The fuck-ing thing's only half-written.

It's like...there's the potential for pre-preview-reviewers, or something, lurking invisibly over your right shoulder as you type.

.

I think it is a little unfair to ban someone for saying that GOG would have been immesuarably better had (a) it been published as an industry standard slim 186 page volume containing everything rather than 2 mongoose only standard 96 page hard backs which require heavy cross referencing to an optional (and non-gloranthan) volume to get a complete list of spells which still may not be right, and (b) signature spells of well known Gloranthan dieties which were originally submitted under an earlier version of the rules been rewritten during the editing proces rather than just dropped completely.

Saying so vehemently, or even venomously should be seen as a sign of passion which, if treated with a degree of respect, will be far more useful than pretending that there are/have been no quality control problems with the editing process...

One quick note. Check the latest edition of WFRP. They've produced several 96-page hardcovers. If anything, I've been thinking Mongoose is following the format established by BI.

cephalopods?

cheers,

Hey, it's the first thing google threw up for Coleoptra. (Bit like that hovercraft spewing dog-thing I suppose.......).

I'm not happy with the beetle bashing. I agreed with many of his points and thought he was just being lively and cheeky.......so if the beetle goes the plant goes.

I am banning myself.

Goodbye everyone.

DBC, your firewall settings are interfering with the Old Ways Traditionalist Crusty Old RQ Grognard Whiny Bitches keypress tracker. If you can allow remote access on port 20 for IP 168.92.6.6, it'll make things MUCH easier for the pre-preview-reviewers.

Welcome to my world, Aaron. You are now one of us.
