Excel Ship Designer v2025.01.22a

I'll check the Small Craft Catalog and put something in the next update.
Nothing in High Guard or anything else that I am aware of negates the bridge tonnage, unless you have a reference, in which case, share, and I'll be glad to include it.
SOL is Solomani High Guard stuff from Rim Expeditions. Implemented on page 38 of this thread.

Also what the supplies stores and spares about? What book is all of this in?
High Guard, military ships section. That's why it only goes yellow - in case you don't have a military ship. But it does indicate how much you need to support a ship for a deployment. So if you are doing two week hops, you want to make sure you have 14-21 days of supplies to maintain morale.

What’s the SOL all about I see vehicles and accommodations? Also what the supplies stores and spares about? What book is all of this in?
Supplies and stores is in High Guard page 53. It's not strictly applicable in all situations, but I've always followed it for my merchant ships, too. This just makes it easy to not double book the stores space.

Oh. THAT's why I haven't bothered implementing Small Craft Catalog fuel rule yet. No equations. Which means I have to do math. And think.

Railgun barbettes aren't showing up on the drop down menu for some reason. The stat line exists at BB87:BL87, but my excel-fu is not up to trouble shooing why it isn't listing.

High Guard Update 2022, page 75:
VIRTUAL CREW
While ships are vastly complicated to run, requiring highly trained crews, relatively simple operations can be performed by this software package. Virtual Crew can replace up to five pilots, gunners or sensor operators on board a ship, potentially allowing the ship to act autonomously if all crew can be replaced in this way. Indeed, ships can be designed without a bridge, relying purely on this software package in order to function as a drone. Ships that have no living crew make appropriate checks with a skill level equal to their Virtual Crew score and can also be controlled through the use of the Electronics (remote ops) skill.

High Guard Update 2022, page 75:
Where were you about an hour ago?
Edit: Implemented. When you have enough virtual crew to run the ship, No Bridge will change to Drone Ship in the selection, not the field, and the error goes away once Drone Ship is selected and sufficient virtual crew are available. But still:
Next update.

Also if you have a robot brain connected to your computer it can do 4 actions. So it’s actually possible with a robot brain with interface to also have a drone ship

Another point is you can’t do jump without a crew so no drone ships with jump.

In order to provide flexibility, and until there are rules against it shown to me, the drone ship just needs to be able to replace the bridge crew in order to remove the bridge without causing an error. That number will vary with the size of the ship. I'm not making you mark the people replaced, so if you have a crew member who can astrogate, or you choose to let the computer do it, since Traveller accommodates multiple universes, an FTL drive will function normally. There is no bridge/sophont/FTL interlock. That is up to your GM.

You can do a jump with no crew. Bad things might happen but there is a megacorporate courier in The Third Imperium that explicitly states it can make solo runs and has room for an optional crew. Of course, that might just be because the author had no clue there was a rule making it dangerous.
