Okay, Conan fans...
As you might have guessed, we have had something of an issue with Empires of the Hyborian Age. It had always been our intention to publish it via Signs & Portents, alongside the Thief's Companion and snippets from other hitherto unpublished Conan material.
However, when we started taking a good look at the manuscript, we had trouble seperating it out into bite-sized chunks - all the rules within are fundamentally reliant upon one another, making the turning of them into 'modules' problematic.
That said, we want to do our best for fans of the game who have supported it throughout the years, and so we have decided to post the entire draft manuscript on our site - for free!
Now, a couple of points to be made here. It _is_ a draft manuscript that has had just one editing pass and one round of playtesting, so you are going to find it a little raw. There will be plenty of pXXs scattered about and probably some typoes. Also, we would ask that, while you are free to modify these rules anyway you wish, you do not redistribute these files in any way, shape or form.
Finally, we would also ask that, in return for this complete (and rather sizeable) supplement, if there are any Conan books in the current range that you are currently missing, you give good consideration to picking them up. We can't do the next great fantasy sword & sorcery game if we give everything away for free
Anyway, without further ado, if you take a trip to the web address below, you will find Empires of the Hyborian Age ready for you to download. Oh, and expect to see more Conan material in S&P over the next few months.
