Elric Creatures - Confusing Stats

Olaus Petrus

Hello, I'm new to Legend/Elric and just recently started GMing it and now I have some questions about some monster stats:

Boatmen of Xerlerenes have unarmed 58%, but there's no percentage for their armed combat style. So is the 58% also for weapons or do they have different percentage?

Devil beasts of Pan Tang have unarmed skill 70% and combat style unarmed 60%, so which one is correct?

Dharzi have unarmed skill 70% and unarmed combat style 45%, so again which one is correct?

Heh, I think they missed one there.

It looks a lot like an error to me. Having an unarmed combat style and defining the unarmed skill caused some crossed wires...
Lol, I would just go with the higher score personally.

They fight with the lower values for the combat style when they fight
according to the rules of that style, and with the higher values of the
skill when they fight dirty and ignore the rules ? 8)

Yes, it looks like something went wrong here. Also Elenoin have unarmed skill, but they have separate combat styles for their bite and hair, so I assume that in that case unarmed skill will represent punches and kicks.

However in the case of devil beasts and dharzi unarmed style covers all their attacks, so there's some mixed wires all right. While in case of devil beast the difference isn't very great, in case of dharzi it could mean a lot. If I'm going to use dharzi (most likely at some point) in my campaign I intend to make them very dangerous opponents, so propably the suggestion to go with the highest number is good, because Elric is supposed to be a deadly setting, where you shouldn't make too many mistakes.
