Earth Alliance by the ages

Actually I have seen a few early fleets, they fall in mostly like Davesaint's 3rd age fleet...just replace the Olympus with Sag and the T-bolts with Auroras.

I prefer thr crusade era because it makes it more equal when playing against other fleets, (basically means Minbari dont get an easy time anymore when battleing earth)

I play crusade, but thats cos I love the design of the Chronos and Apollo. (and the Marathon too now).

I was in fact effectively playing 'late EA' even before the points split ;)

I have a rather large (or at least I will when my figs finally all get here... :x ) 3rd age fleet. I can play early quite effectively, but I don't have any Sagg or Orestes...

So what was the general reaction to the split, and are any Earth Alliance players looking forward to the Psi Corps fleet list?

Is there an Earth Alliance bias in the game?

most of my EA fall into the 3rd Age and Crusade, with the emphasis on the Crusade era. I like the look of those ships so much better. The Warlock and Marathon and Apollo just look so cool IMO

I've used the Earth/Minbari War ships, though, but only as a seperate fleet list.

And man oh man, the Hyperion Command Cruiser Prototypes and Nova Bolter Prototypes inflict some serious damage. As for Skirmish choices, the Rail Cruiser makes a devestating fleet escort.

Only for scenarios from the book now that the EA fleet's been split up. The Early Years ships tend to be better (e.g. the pulse Hyperion has better weapons than the Lexington-type) and aren't as limited in fire arcs generally. I do miss the Orestes Dreadnought though. It's one of my favourites.

Well as far as we know the EA Black-ops/Psi-Corps fleet will have the Shadow Omega, the Nemesis, the Shadow Hunter (or something which looks exactly like it...), and I would guess the Psi-Corps mothership and Black Omega starfuries.

No idea when its coming out however.
