Drahk, Dilgar, Armeggeddon

Banded Mongoose
The gaming budget is being squeezed again, and I am forced to make a choice. With 2e on the way, I do not want to buy everything, but I am looking to expand the scope of our games. I am considering the Dilgar-Drahk books, or Armeggeddon.

Would it be more useful to add two fleets or is Armeggeddon fairly necessary?

armageddon is necessary if you wish toget the newwest and largest ships in the game , plus there are a few new rules and a few rule changes. The First Ones Also get tottay changed. If you wish to play either of the race the Drakh or the Dilgar you must have there books. So its up to you really do you want to play the bad guys (like me go Dilgar) or do you want to expand what is all ready there??? Its really up to you.

I would also say, Financially speaking, Armageddon is a bit pricey considering the contents. Yes I know, I'm a troublemaker before anyone starts.

Seriously though, I know it's six months away, but hold off for 2nd ed, if what we hear is true, it will be a complete ruleset and fleetlist, making all before it obsolete.

I'd say make your choice between the two and go for it now. 2nd ed isn't likely to be out for at least six months and a £5 outlay is not going to be wasted if you get at least this length of play out of it.
