Disappearing Threads

Triggy

Mongoose
There seems to be a disappearance of all threads without polls that have had no activity since 31st August. This is disappointing if this is the case as I've just been trying to search out for threads I've posted on before for stats and analysis and they're no longer there!

Any word on what's happened?

If it's EVERY thread without a poll, it sounds like a clearout. Server space isn't unlimited nor free.

Wulf
Agreed, but if it is then it would have been nice to have some warning so that we can save the information on useful thread for reference.

Come on, how much is a 400GB hard drive these days? About £150.
I've posted in rulesmasters about this a while ago, it seems really daft to delete those threads especially, since most of them contained important queries and information.

I'm sure if you send Mongoose £150 they'll have a better use for it... Server space here at my work is a constant problem. We can't constantly just keep throwing money at the problem.

However, I have no real idea if this is the real problem, it just seems sensible.

Still, Rulesmasters topics should have stayed. They weren't so big as the other forums, and contained much more concentrated information.

It's not as simple as katadder suggests, here is a thread with no poll and no activity for more than 2 years that is still here:
