Decal assistance

I've got a challenge for someone enterprising.

After spending some time looking at counters in a recent game, I realized they offered one very distinct advantage over using minis of any kind. Namely, the fire lines and boresight tics on each counter. Mk1 Eyeball and GF9's Arc template work prety good, but they can get pretty clumsy when in the middle of a furball.

What I would love to have is something similiar done up for making into water transfer decals that can be put onto the 1" and 2" inch flying bases that MGP pakcs with the minis, and which incidently I happen to use for all my minis.

I'd do so myself, but my abilities when it comes to graphics and PhotoShop are about on par with a chimps.

....Unless of course there already IS something like this out there on someone's hard drive.

well i know what you mean, i dont use the gf9 template i think its far to bulky, a simple protractor with a 45 deg mark on is easyer, but i also just mark the bases, its easy, just before painting the base use a template, in the shape of a x 0, 45,90, etc, line that up with the hole in the ctr of your base and mark the positions, then even if you paint your base you can easly add the lines to corespond with the fire arcs

I made a fire arc template that i cut out on paper and use ordinary white glue to glue to the base. Plus allows me to put a ship's class and name on the base as well.

I did mine in powerpoint, there is a drawing tool in the toolbox there for a circle with X through it at the 45-degree angles so i just added an extra straight thin line through the B and Ba arcs. Copy, paste, rinse repeat. Got a whole sheet of them. Cut out with scissors, use a paper punch for the middle and good to go. :)

I don't put anything on my bases because I use the screw off barrel clasp bases. But if you have your bases secured to the ship and want to put the arcs and such on the base, I would go with the sticker option.
