DC ACTA Retailer

Hello,

I am looking for a retailer of A Call to Arms in the Washington DC area. The retail locator on this website doesn't seem to feature the District of Columbia - should I search under something else, or can someone in the area suggest a store and its address for me?

Thanks for your help.

The closest thing I can find to a game store anywhere near you is

http://www.gameparlor.com

Their website seems terribly out of date, however, so it would be worth phoning or emailing to see if they carry ACTA.

(I hope thats near you, anyway, my US geography isn't good enough to tell!)

Thanks for the reply mthomason, I really appreciate it. Despite being the next state over, Virginia is a bit far for the tourist without a car, however...

Is there no ACTA retailer in the District of Columbia, folks?

Oops, sorry :(

I can't find websites for these so I have no idea what they carry - they are however listed as "hobby stores" so it might be worth giving them a call.

Another Universe
3060 M St Nw - Washington, DC
202-333-8651

Game Place Inc
4441 Wisconsin Avenue Nw - Washington, DC
202-237-2445

I'd be shocked to find if there is anyone in the DC Metro (VA, DC, MD) area that carries ACTA as stock.

I know Eagle and Empire doesn't carry (and is currently totally out of stock) more than the fleet sets and sometimes orders a book (believe me I've tried to get the owner into it more to no avail) and I haven't found another local store yet that carries more than the $99 fleet sets.

Try:
Dream Wizards
http://www.dreamwizards.com/index.html

or

The Compleat Strategist
http://www.strategistfc.com/

I know that Game Parlor does have ACtA stuff in large supply. You are correct however, there is no way to get there if you don't have a car. Dream Wizards is off of the White Flint Station of the Red Line and Compleat Strategist is off of one of the Falls Church metro stations (not sure if it is east or west) off of the Orange Line. They are both a bit of a walk but it is doable. I don't know if either of them normally carry them but call and ask. I am sure both of them can order them if you ask.

Besides those three and Eagle and Empire, I don't know of any other game stores in the area within a credible distance.

Hope this helps,

Forget "Another Universe". They don't really do games much anymore. Mainly comics and stuff now.

I am not familiar with "Game Place" at all and that makes me suspicious (I thought I had located all the viable game stores within reasonable distance of DC), but by all means call them and see. There are several "game stores" in this area that really only sell board games and puzzles and I suspect this is one of these, but if it turns out to be good for miniatures and RPG stuff let me know.

Game Parlor (http://www.gameparlor.com/) absolutely carries them in stock, and has a good supply to boot. That's where I get mine. Without a car though, there is no way he can get there though.

Now that I think of it , if you are really dedicated, there is a second Game Parlor store in the mall right across the main street from the giant Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge, Virginia. There are express buses that leave from the Franconia Metro station on the blue line to go to the mall all the time (here is the mall's transportation website: http://www.potomacmills.com/static/node782.jsp). You just need to walk across the street to the adjacent mini-mall where the Game Parlor store is located. Call them and ask for directions from the mall.
