D20 MWWG: Difference between Diet and Hardcover editions?

Lord Aethar

Mongoose
The main website is not very clear on what the differences are between the Hardcover version of Macho Women with Guns and the MWWG Diet Edition.

The Hardcover Edition is stated to have 256 pages and numerous illustrations, while the Diet Edition is stated to have only 99 pages. Other than (I presume) a lack of illustrations in the Diet Edition, is there any lack of actual game material in the Diet Edition, or does it have everything else that the Hardcover version has?

The diet edition has all the basic rules actually needed to play MWWG. It does however lack a number of character classes, futuristic and fantasy style equipment, several entries from the bestiary, details of the MWWG world, and the short scenario.
Basically, it's a good start if you're interested in the idea but not sure if it is for you. Or if you want to run the occasional game, but don't intend a full campaign.
