CRB 1st ed. Common Spacecraft air/craft cost

Hello all,

I am building a no frills, clunky spreadsheet to help check my math and have almost completed the Scout, Type S p. 115 when I ran into a slight cost difference between the CRB 1st ed. Vehicles Table p. 104 and the Vehicles and Drones Table p. 111

The cost for the air/raft on CRB 1st ed. p. 104 Vehicles Table is Cr275,000 and p. 111 Vehicles and Drones Table is MCr0.275.

The Common Spacecraft Extra Air/Raft Cost for the Scout, Type S p. 115 is listed as Cr600,000. I also found that the yacht, p. 126 carries an air/raft that costs Cr600,000. The Player's Guide does not have an entry for adding an air/raft at 4 tons with a cost of Cr600,000 or the change the cost of the air/raft in the Vehicles Table p. 104 or Vehicles and Drones Table p. 111.

Where can I find the air/raft that costs Cr600,000 in CRB 1st ed.?

Is the scout's and yacht's air/raft cost actually Cr275,000 or MCr0.275?

I have also asked what the cost of the air/raft is in the HG Beta Spacecraft/Small Craft/Capital Ship design rules.

It's a special gold plated model on the yacht. The scout version costs that much as they have to reinforce it and perform extra maintenance for all the abuses the Scouts put them through.

Yes it shouldn't be Cr600,000.

None, High Guard doesn't list vehicles carried on board. Would be the same as the standard Air/Raft given in the Core Rulebook. Depending on the type of hangar there may also be a charge for the space it occupies. (Note both the Yacht and Scout version in the 1st edition Core Rulebook use a form fitting hangar for no additional cost).

The yacht must belong to an Admiral with nobility heritage. One of my character's is a scout who takes umbrage at being accused of abusing any equipment. Part of the scout service's ongoing mission is to ensure all equipment is properly tested in the field. Any shortcomings is due to poor design decisions by people in a lab.;-)

Yes it shouldn't be Cr600,000.

The price for the air/raft as written should be MCr0.275 versus Cr600,000

High Guard Beta has eliminated listing of vehicles on the ship datasheets?
Does High Guard Beta list drones, fuel purifiers, luxuries, and other similar Extras noted in the first editions?

I will definitely be doing a house rule on the design chapters in HG 2nd ed. to include the auxiliary craft, vehicles, and anything else omitted from the ship's datasheet.

Nope, just meant there is no separate pricing or anything of vehicles given in High Guard.

Yup, those are contained within. The majority of ship options found in 1st edition have been included in the new High Guard.

No need, already included.

Okay, the new datasheets, as used in CRB 2nd ed., only list the space requirement in tons for the ship's sub-components like air/rafts versus not listing items like the air/raft.

Being straightened out on what is being listed on the 2nd ed. datasheets, brings up the question on how does someone like me verify the total cost of a hull.

There is a high probability that the CRB 1st ed. air/raft cost assigned to the Scout/Courier and Yacht is off by Cr325,000 which I found because the cost on the CRB 1st ed. Scout, Type S datasheet on p. 115 does not match the price listed in two tables devoted to auxiliary craft, vehicles, and drones.

Looks like I am going to be less likely to share designs using the 2nd ed. design rules and at this point in going through the CRB 1st ed. design rules means I won't be sharing since I cannot match the cost of two official designs. The best I'll do is ask a lot of, probably repeat, questions.

Thank you for the reply AndrewW.

You would need High Guard in order to do that. The full stats for the common spacecraft included in the Core Rulebook are included in High Guard.

If I'm on the right track now the full datasheet for CRB 2nd ed. common spacecraft will be found in HG 2nd. ed., right?

Correct.

Yippee, thank you AndewW for making my day a little brighter since I'm on the right track on one MgT related item.
