Conan: Weapon Focus Feat Ruling

Ok so as the rule book states:

Chose one type weapon. If desired, this weapon could be 'unarmed attack' or 'grapple'.

So my question is this: Does Weapon Focus grapple add +1 to the touch attack or the Grapple roll?

I can see how it could do either and I was just looking for an official answer.

Just the attack roll, not the grapple roll.

Note that the Second Edition Grapple rules for the Conan RPG dropped the need to make a touch attack before a grapple is made.

Notice page 199 of the 2E Core Rules and compare that to page 174 of the Atlantean Edition.

Pre Second Edition, two grapple checks were required--the first to grab the opponent and the second to start the grapple. You had to make to like checks, back-to-back.

With Second Edition, one of those checks was dropped, and you only have to make one Grapple Check.

Therefore, yes, Weapon Focus can be taken to gain a +1 on your Grapple Check, if using Second Edition rules.
