Something I've been wanting to do for a while now is put together a community website in support of a game. After some arguing with myself, I decided BF Evo would be the one to concentrate on.
After some more internal debate, I decided that something where people can send in material and I reviewed and edited it would be too much work, as well as not really being in the spirit of a "community" site. After all, who am I to decide what the community wants? So, after seeing the Wiki that Tim set up over in the RuneQuest area, I decided to do something similar (for those who are unfamiliar with the term, a Wiki is a website that anyone can go into and make edits and changes to, with controls to let people "roll back" edits if someone vandalizes a page). Whether it stays as a Wiki is an experiment at the moment, but I'd like to think the community as a whole will be sensible enough not to abuse the freedom, or at least to self-police itself...
If you've got any house rules or scenarios you'd like a home for on the web, this is the place you can do it (and obviously you can then come here and point people at the URL to your rules/scenario page) For those who are not quite comfortable with the idea that anyone else can go and edit their work, there's a section for standard "articles" as well. Of course there's a discussion forum, and an gallery area for you to upload images. Obviously a lot of this you will not be able to use quite yet as the game isn't out
So, I unveil a very early beta version of http://www.bfevo.com
