Carmanians

Any good Carmanian resourses anyone can guide me to? I would like to learn more about their status (militarily, politicaly, economicaly) if possible and relations with others durring the second age.

I found a good write up of their theology here: http://www.etyries.com/sects/carmanian.htm

Seems like a fascinating group. I was toying with the idea of making secretive orders of Carmanians akin to Knights Templar and the Persian Assassins. Would this be a good fit?

I kinda view Carmanians as a mesh between Mideval Europeans and Mideval Persians. Is this accurate?

Thanks in advance mates.

I think you're on the money there. Nick Brooke's site is the best Carmanian stuff I've seen. For my visual inspiration I use Osprey Byzantines. I see Carmanian knights as very Cataphract-y.

Thanks for the reply and info.

Hi,

Try this resource as well, loads of information.

Loren Miller did some work on Carmania if I remember rightly, but I couldn't find it.

The Oronin River Valley was given some coverage in the Lunar Special of Tales of the Reaching Moon, which may be in print still.
