Cargo Bay Height

Terry Mixon

Emperor Mongoose
I'm looking at doing some additions to the cargo bay to fit some player vehicles and thought about adding a ledge to fit the air/raft over some grav bikes. Then it occurred to me that I had no idea how tall the cargo bay was. I searched the books but came up blank.

I'm inclined to say 3 meters to go with the 1.5-meter deck square size, making each square 1.5x1.5x3. Is it defined somewhere? Is it more? Less?

Usually less to allow for machine, life support, grav plates and the like, some ships have a double height cargo area though.

Thanks for the input.

Just for my game, if nothing else, I'm going to say that the machinery is under the deck as it is in the rest of the ship. The cargo bay doors are overhead, so there can't be something up there. Not easily anyway. Part of the habitable area will have life support overhead, though, reducing the height there and in engineering.

I can visualize there being enough space to make it work, so I'll run with it. I'll just be a rebel! ;)
