Career Index

Mongoose
Is there an index of all the careers listed in the rule books as well as the adventure books? Adventure book 1 has the belter career path I think.

Welcome to the forum. :D

Unfortunately not, at least I have not yet seen anything of that kind.

Yes, it does.

How are they better? I've just got core and spinward marches (CSC coming soon!) is this a book worth getting just for the careers?

Didn't realize there was a book for the Center for Disease Control. Hmmm, could cover the scientist career. Could offer interesting challenges trying to stop the spread of a virus.

Most of the careers are in the books after the main rulebook. (Book 1: Mercentary, Book 2: High Guard, Book 3: Scout, Book 4: Psion, Book 5: Agent, Book 6: Scoundrel).

Thank you. I do think that Mongoose should publish an index for all the "new jobs / careers" listing outside of the core rule books. Or maybe this can be put into the wiki. It would make life easier for the referee.

There was a speculative mention, that next year, Mongoose may release an expanded core rulebook that incorporates a full listing of all the career paths developed in the supplemental books.

I don't find them that hard to keep track of; with a couple exceptions the name of the career can generally tell you which book it's from.

I'm also the referee, so no careers get through without my okay. I'm not sure what use an index would be. I don't consider any of the career paths "overpowered", so I can't see anybody using an index to figure out which book they should buy for one class. That just seems like a waste of money. (Don't get me wrong, I love the career books, but there's so much more useful information in them!)

To each their own, I can compile a list when life stops kicking me if people want.
