Campaign Rules

Actually we counted them as one site for capturing bonus and initiative.

The 'fluff' that we agreed too was not that there hadn't always been a gas giant there...but more like B5 discovering there was the Great Machine on that otherwise worthless planet below them. IE discovered something of value in something that had always been there.

(Though we did set our system up as having three zones...inner, habitable and outer ring...and when we rolled a Gas Giant in the inner region we attached it to a property in the outer ring instead as it was more sensible. Just have to watch that folks don't get too manipulative in when doing that kind of thing.)

Oh and if you controlled all the site in one zone we gave you a bonus. Think it was like +2 ep's for inner, +2 initiative for habitable, not sure on the last. I was thinking of others but ran out of time...tried to avoid things for free that would not benefit most races somewhat evenly.

Scientists have discovered gas giants relatively near their suns...so it wouldn't have been out of the question to do that in the campaign (put it in the inner region).

So now everyone has decided which fleet he is going to use.

It will be a hard fight as I'm representing the Pak'ma'ras scavenging a minor system of the galaxy challenged by the Centauri Republic who thinks this is the perfect place to establish a solid base before retaking Narn.
Of course the ISA can't let the Centauri do as they wish and has to react; but their actual struggle with the Drakhs prevents them from even sparing one single ship.
It is still a matter of honor for the Alliance therefore the ISA Council decided that a Minbari Federation fleet would be sent there to restore peace in the name of the Alliance.

Everyone knows that the Pak'ma'ras are everywhere, in fact everyone knows but nobody cares. Unless some ships are recognized as non-trader ones...
Do they have a secret master plan ? Are they more than just Q40 traders ?

When all the fleets arrived in this tiny system they noticed an EA fleet standing by for orders. (Yes we had a fourth player wanting to play 2 days before the beginning :D )

At the very beginning the Centauri player whose initiative roll was "insane" took the only agrarian world noticed here. The minbari and the EA players agreed not to contest due to the presence of 2 unoccupied jump gates that they claimed as soon as they played. The "lower than 0 init is possible" pak player happily took a rich comet which crossed their way.

At that time the minbaris and EA were very close from each other and choose not to contest as they were taking the only two primitive worlds of the system. Surprisingly the Centauri stopped in an asteroïd belt letting the paks taking control over a "singing" religious outpost :D
As they were taking this outpost the Puur'na'kul2 sent by the High hCommand arrived to reinforce the pak'ma'ras army. Be sure that a Pshul'shi is always a threat to keep an eye on. Especially when it's the fourth one in the same fleet.

A Lightning Attack from the Centauri aimed the trading route. No one in the system understood why the minbari and the Earth alliance were so passive. Maybe some free worlds were more valuable for them ...
Whatever the cost the pak'ma'ras decided to free the trading route and engaged the centauri.
Both fleets only send some patrol and skirmish ships to claim the Space Superiority over the trading route. Everyone was afraid of a minbari offensive and this 8 pts patrol was indeed very good :D

The Centauri were suprised by a Sunhawk patrol of 6 ships led by an Ikorta. By the time the Centauri noticed that their Corvan stealth system was lacking one of them has been destroyed. One of the 2 haven did not dodge the plasma torpedos of the sunhawks and drifted away.
It was almost done when a valliant Darkner, after destroying 2 Sunhawks, was shoot down by several concentred fire power from the Ikorta and 2 sunhak.
Understanding that the plasma torpedos of most ships were reloaded the Centauri ships decided to flee and so did not captured the trade route.

After a small patrol around the local route scavenging everything possible, the pak'ma'ras discovered a previously unseen rich dustcloud which they instantly claimed as theirs.
The EA landed on a barren world luckily composed of some hidden ressources. The minbaris decided not to stop the EA and took the last neutral target, another asteroïd belt.

Each army was considering calling for some reinforcements, the real batlle has yet to be fought ...
