C8 typo?

I noticed that the Phaser-2's on the C8 dreadnought have the range of a Ph-1 and the kill zone of a Ph-3. Is this correct?

Also is there a list of errata for ACTA-SF?

Strange question, but why go with the 'Grouped Phaser' option on the C8, then give the C9 (KC9R) weapon arc's :?: . They have the same amounts of AD of Phaser, so could you use the Arc's on the C9 for the C8. I suppose it's just me, but i find it puzzling :roll: .

Possible suggested 'Fixed' Arc (based on FC Squadron Scale SSD)

Phaser 1 - P/F/S - 2AD
Phaser 1 - F/P - 2AD
Phaser 1 - F/S - 2AD
Phaser 1 - R/P - 2AD
Phaser 1 - R/S - 2AD
Phaser 2 - R/P - 1AD
Phaser 2 - R/S - 1AD
Phaser 3 - P/A/S - 4AD

This keeps the same number of Phasers, but does reduce the 'F' arc amount of PH-1's. It also turns the PH-2's and PH-3's rear defence (and allows for the Klingon RX tactic).

I agree that the difference in in the phasers of the C8 and (K)C9(R) are a bit puzzling, given they have the same arcs in the "source materials".

With apologies to Totenkopf I'll point out that the D7 & FD7's "wing" Phasers are in a similarly odd situation after the errata (same phasers/arcs in the source material, different arcs in CTA:SF).

Posted idea's on Errata thread, as this is being discussed there. Main worry was Drone defense with Phasers, for the C8 it's an 'ALL or NOTHING' option - one line entry, whole system is an either/or.

I've suggested on the other thread a change to the following, as it keeps the 10 forward/6 side ratio.

Phaser 1 - 2AD - P/F/S
Phaser 1 - 4AD - P/F
Phaser 1 - 4AD - S/F
Rest of entries remain the same.

At least you get some options.

Lol, well...if they do change those phasers then there should be a matching reduction in points...which I would be for cheaper Fast, Agile, TR 4 Cruisers

Proof reading was pretty weak in this book. :? I love the game but the amount of errors is really disappointing.
