buying figs on mass

well if your in the uk get them online from the us due to the exchange rate for every 3 boxes you get the 4th for free.

postage a problem ? buy 3 tanks and the postage works out for free then ! with a bit of a saving in your pocket !!!!

for the uk compared to us prices i think the box sets are a little overpriced. £16 would make it equal with america prices and online %10-%30 discount from some online suppliers in the us the price diferance widens evan more.

i support my local LGS but when such great savings can be made, you can see whay the LGS rarly gets our money wich is not good for the LGS/hobby or product promotion, but then the LGS is a buisness and not a charity for us to support.

Beware the customs-monster that eats your profit and turns great deals into the most expensive minis ever:'(

keep it under £150 value and your be fine, also request supplier puts it down as gift for customs and keeps value on pacage as $10-20 ;)

i might have to try that, my last package from the US got a +45% increase in price with the customs meddling,,:/

It is illegal to falsify a customs declaration and most retailers will refuse to do it. If you put a low value on the package and it gets lost then you will not be able to claim under insurance.

Why prince Harry?? He's a big grown up soldier now, you know. Well Rupert, not soldier but much of a muchness

that is not good at all:(
I don't really mind paying taxes for stuff, it's just that i get to do it twice,(i assume that all goods are taxed in the US aswell?) and the swedish one is 25% of the value including US tax, and then they add handling fees here too:S

on the other hand i've only been "caught" once when i've ordered minis, probably best just to keep orders small so the customs let them fly through:)

Sorry £18.00 Sterling is the limit allowed for importing by a private individual in to the U.K. before VAT at 17.5% is levied plus import duties plus 4% on the value of the postage on the parcel. If the parcel is opened for inspection the Royal Mail will charge £25.00 Sterling for delivery. I got that from HM Customs and Excise and the Royal Mail directly as I got burn't a few years ago on a couple of model tanks I purchased from the USA. Some senders will mark the parcel as a gift or samples this can help but is not certain doing this may also get the sender into trouble if they get questioned about the package so some won't.

You might get lucky. a few years back I had a parcel arrive with a requirement to pay something daft to Customs. The postie who brought it thought it was a ripoff and said "just have it mate", dropped the parcel off and left before I could say much more than "thanks"

I seem to get hit about 1 in 3,

the thing that gets me is th£10 charge just for handeling the package not the customes charge - dam those in charge of the FA, sorry the post office.
