Body Armour

I have a bit of a problem with the way body armour seems to work in BF EVO, in that it only seems to stop about a third of kills.

This seems at odds with the current reports, where modern body armour is stopping most rifle rounds

Any thoughts?

It is worth taking a look at the injuries being sustained in combat these days, and just what body armour does _not_ protect against.

Remember, in the game, a casualty does not necessarily mean a death - it is simply the inability to keep on fighting. A few rounds to the limbs will do that. . .

Also worth bearing in mind that, though it is improving, body armour really isnt that great still, modern firearms are frighteningly penetrative!:

Fair enough, I had not thought through the idea of a wound taking the squaddie out, I suppose I took "kill" too literally.

Yes body armour will stop hits from the good old 7.62 ak stuff, and the new dragon armour does a great job, but for the 5+ its mainly for the amount of body covered as well, i know most times you aim for center mass etc, but bullets do go wild, and hits in arms and legs can course shock and blood lose etc...

5+ modern armour
4+ sst amour ( not movie type, but cgi show ), this shows more on arms and legs etc

And its 2+ with extras "wink wink" for the new grizzly exosuits...

We had this discussion at my FLGS. We ultimately figured what Matt said above. A missing arm and-or leg will seriously limit your fighting power.

Those are my favorite videos on youtube. It's convenient that BF:Evo uses Concealment and Cover so I can use my cheesy announcer voice during a game "Concealment is Not cover!". Or maybe it's just me.
