BFE Evo on shelves in Southern California

I found a full shipment of Battlefield Evolution wave 1 boxes at Brookhurst Hobbies in SoCal. I picked up an Challenger 2 tank today, and will probably get some infantry tomorrow or so.

Anyone in the area? If you plan to pick some up, why not stay for a bit and play a game? If you want to PM me a time I can be there with my minis.

Sounds like it.

The great thing about BFE, and any prepainted game, is that if you see a demo or just other players playing in store. You can just walk right up to the BFE section pick up an army or a few boxes and put them down on the table to play with the same guys who got you into the game. Then those same guys can teach you the ropes of the game, even involve you in some bigger scenarios.

Or, a player can start running demos in store right after the game releases.

It's kinda like Heroscape in that regard, and it's probably why a few companies are moving in that direction.

All these places are within driving distance, well a some are a bit far, but I'd be willing to drive for some game nights once or twice a month. Maybe I'll sign up to the demo teams again and demo the game, it'll help pay for my habit.

The Realm in Brea does in fact have BFevo in stock, 1 of each wave 1 box, well... minus an Abrams, USMC squad and MEA squad I snagged yesterday. :lol:

Heheh, Brookhurst had two of each box when I came in, I'm kind of hoping it's sold out by now since I want players. But, since I only have a tank to my name right now I'm hoping the PLA aren't all taken.
