Ready maybe, (but would only be used at present on set up weapons)

Failed X Armour saves (umm why id scarp this one)
Suppressed (Use 2 if doubly suppressed) ive found these usefull
Out of Command not needed as it changes from action to action turn to turn by the time you need to know its quicker to measure so again id scarp that.

here is my list

Special action (this covers covered advance and weapon set up actions with a ready)

Suppressed (Use 2 if doubly suppressed)

Damages counters (used on vehicles)

only 3 counters, but minamalism is good

we may also need smoke counters, but like you said till the book comes out who knows

another idea is maybe had dice with symbols on them so one dice is every counter., i use the old epic order dice for games alot to sgow different effects and it works well.
 
W£ell my failed X armour saves are the same idea as your vehicle damage counters I think Evil

As for the out of Command, I'm thinking more for when a leader is lost more than when it is caused by movement

As suppression markers. I just give them one if suppressed and extras if the leader is killed, that way you just spend actions to remove the markers...

Also what will you use to show what troops are in which transports? (troops being off the board)A&A Pacfic had a neat "Fleet" marker thing that let you know who and what was where. - Just a thought / idea.

ok il add something that we needed in tonights game

hit recorder but in reflection this could be handles by the use of a D12 so maybe a D12 hit counter would be cool
 
It's best to use d6s, which are easily picked up and are less prone to being moved on the table. The problem is that d6s are also the main dice of the game, so can be confused for a stay die to roll.

good point and some tables arnt very flat
