BF: Evo at leprecon

Quick shout out for Irish players coming to Leprecon this weekend - Me and my mate Vinny will be running Evo demos on sunday.

for those in the area but don't know where and when, the con opens around 10AM both days, and it's on in the Goldsmith Hall of Trinity college, around the corner from Pearse Street DART station.

so we were running (roughly) 1,000 point games all day yesterday and for a small con, we had a good few people interested. We had armies from all 4 factions, in each case it was 3 squads and a tank, except the MEA who had 3 8-man squads and 2 Zulfiquars.

I'll have some pics posted tonight with any luck, but I've a few observations

1. the game really works best if there's tons of terrain blocking LOS - even if you've got a lot of cover, wide fire lanes means you get wiped out.

2. While this imbalance will leave with time, once the EFTF or USMC lost their tank while the enemy still had theirs, all the opposition had to do was pull the infantry back and let the tank deal with the survivors.

It was a fun day, despite the massive pain from too much dancing the night before
