Best way to base a Warlock?

Alright, how do you guys do it?

I have one on order but don't have one yet.

Alot of people have suggested using a pin vice & brass rod to mount ships on the base.

I used a something similar - I use a stainless steel nail it won't bend or snap.

If a ships hull comes in several pieces I will use a pin vice & drill to make several pins for each hull section to give it added strength.

When I do get my Warlock I will add it to my blogg with step by step to show how I do it if this helps?

brass rod. Also, I did pin the 2 lower pieces of my warlock together, horizontally, for strength.

I ended up using the supplied plastic base but I cut off the very top bit and drilled out an existing hole where the centre of gravity is on the model, very much like in Uriel Ventis' pic.

Mongoose now do metal stands. You may want to try those.

I used the rod with barrel clasp method on mine. It stands just fine and we played a game with it last Friday.

And make sure you have the base at the balance point, otherwise you put too much stress on the stand and it can snap.
