Berserk game

Well, I've been thinking of this ever since I saw Berserk for the first time.

Anyhow, for those of you not famliar with Berserk it is a fantasy series where bands of mercenaries roam the land and go from battlefield to battlefield (not what the series is about, but you get my point).

I was thinking that it would make for a cool game, where you had you company of mercs, and perhaps a system to make your band unique, like representing special training and such stuff.

Just an idea I had, along with MANY more.

I'd figure that, Berserk is based on a manga series from WAY back when. The cartoon was suppoused to do 26 episodes but only did 25 due to financial stuff. Best anime I've ever seen, pretty much adult rated stuff (blood and more blood!).

I'd love to see a berserk rpg, the setting is gorgeouse and theres a hell of alot of background if you trawl through the manga (Though I think the latter episodes kinda spoil it by moving toward the generic party led format).
The ascent of Hawk to demonhood is definatly the closest I've ever seen to cthulhu mythos on screen!
(Acutally thats a thought, wouldn't medieval cthulhu do pretty well as a system for running it?)

Berserk is one of my favourite animes (haven't read the manga). It just oozes atmosphere. The characters all develop in great and unexpected ways.

Oh, and it's violent as hell.

I love Berserk, Gatsu is one buff dude. That sword is gigantic. I love "Forces" the song that plays in the DVD title menu, Im sure other places as well. But it pwns.
