Cool, hope you enjoy the snow :) Yes, I can pretty well imagine how cold it can get while taking pictures in a weather like that so the picture is even more appreciated around here.

he he

i had to build snow man with me 3 year old this morning

although it degenerated into a snow ball fight :D
doese mean my mates prob got day of work so he may pop over to help build terran :D

LOL! I managed to build a small snowman last weekend with my almost 2 years old daughter. It ended up looking a bit like teletubby :P

Anyway, how much you have actually played miniature games outside? I have a small backyard which might work at least for some scifi terrain. I have heard that some people have played Charlie Company outdoors (here in Finland) and it was really a blast because of the atmosphere of setting sun etc. I can only imagine that.

So, any experience on that?

think if i did id get funny looks from my nabours !!!

if i did it at my dads (acre of garden with a huge pond and bridge) it would be owned by air power i think

Yes, it would probably look funny by my neighbours as well but on the other hand they are just beer and cider guzzling ... persons so anything more intellectual would look funny to them

But yes, with a large battlefield the airpower would really show it's worth at least unless you manage to put a lot of cover to the field and even then it is doubtful that airpower would not rule the game. So some AA capacity would absolutely be needed :)

That's why I had to ask if it was real snow :) I have seen some pretty convincing pics where a miniature tank and some infantry were placed in salt. Can't remember the link, but it is at the 7.62 mm gaming site (google it if you're interested)...
