Basing the Primus

CheesyRobMan

Mongoose
I'm painting a Primus battlecruiser at the moment. Now, in the fleetbox, there are several of the standard flying bases provided, which is fine. However on the bottom of the Primus, there are two holes for a stand to go into, neither of which are anywhere near the centre of gravity, so it'll fall over if I use one of them. I don't want to use two bases, since it's wasteful and they'll overlap. Am I going to have to drill out a new hole in the model to get it to stay upright on one stand? I don't mind doing so, it just seems a bit silly. Am I missing something very obvious here?

The two holes are a holdover from the old B5 Wars games - Agents of Gaming used two smaller bases for their large ships instead of the larger bases Mongoose use. I'd drill a new hole.

Thanks, Lorcan - in the end I had some rare-earth magnets lying around, so glued one to the bottom of the Primus, and another to the flying stand (suitably cut down to the magnet's width). Seems to work just fine.
