Basing Bigger Minis

I recently won a Fattie on ebay which didn't come with a base, so i based him on a Games Workshop big round base that some one gave me. As i'm the only one to have a Fattie amongst my group it hasn't seemed to matter, but i'm just wondering, are the Mongoose square bases much bigger, and would the base i have it on alter the game much?

If so, will the big bases become available on their own at some point?

We use 40mm square bases, so there probably isn't much difference. You should be okay in your games, can't think why the base would make that much difference.

We don't sell the bases seperately as yet, but may look into it in the future.

Just to expand on this. This game doesnt have any complex rules for reach, attack allocations supporting attackd, etc. So bases sizes dont matter. Plus if your fattie or hs1 or whatnot is gonna get surrounded, having bigger bases is bad.
