After 20 years I am back to 2300AD. Good old game, lots of fun.
I am trying to catch up and I see lots of changes and rulebook. Too bad that all the rules are not all included in a single book but I suppose that the 2300 AD followers are not that many.
I recently purchased the new Ships of the French Arm: quite good and useful. But apparently I must have missed something. The book describes that the rules to create spaceships have been overhauled, particularly when calculating time from/to orbit.
According to Mongose 2300AD rulebook it takes 1 or 2 hours to reach orbit, and fuel is consumed accordingly.
But in Ships of the French Arm it just takes some minutes. I do not know the rules used to create these starships. Moreover, now it is unclear how much fuel is expended in every trip to / from orbit. As an example, how many trips from/to orbit can the LC-10 make in Grendel?
(Grendelssaga: an adventure set that I recommend, particularly the 2nd and 3rd part).
Any ideas?
