The Mongoose v1 Aslan book and the Aslan chapters in Pirates of Drinax say that Aslan males typically live into their sixties, while females usually live to their mid-fifties.
Aslan males and females have the same stat bonuses: +2 Str, -2 Dex. So the "average" Aslan, barring Personal Development increases during chargen, would have Str 9, Dex 5, End 7.
Aslan aging rolls start at age 40, and you double the number of terms as a negative DM, so your first aging roll DM is -12, your second (at age 44 is -14, etc.) This means you'll always be losing 2 points from each physical stat, every four years.
Therefore, our "average" Aslan will have their first aging crisis at age 48, when Dex will drop to 0. My assumption has been that "aging crisis" is when the typical character dies. Of course, the core rules allow medical intervention, and there's no limit on how long you can do that, so long as you can afford it, but a) that doesn't really seem consistent with what the Lifespan text says, and b) there's no difference between male and female lifespan by the aging rules. Perhaps it's assumed that males will gain more stat increases during chargen? The core rules for post-career education don't seem to allow working out to maintain one's physique.
I'd suggest that instead of doubling the number of terms as an aging DM for Aslan, a static negative DM is applied, that's slightly worse for females (since they tend to die earlier). Say, -2 for males, and -3 for females.
Thoughts?
