Are the ships in the Armageddon bookthat have the armageddon priority level the only ones? I mean, have any other ships been bumped up to armageddon, like the sharlin, because it seems odd that the minbari, who are very powerful and have the very powerful sharlin wont have an armageddon level ship until the neeron finally arrives. Shouldn't the sharlin be re-jigged and bumped up to armageddon seeing as how the likes of the warlock are armageddon and the white star gunship is war, i would still rather take a sharlin than the other two i've mentioned. I know the warlocks being demoted in 2e, but for now shouldnt the sharlin be bumped up and slighly changed?

I think the Sharlin is to weak to be an Armaggedon ship, like it is now it can explode in a one shot from a Pak'ma'ra War.
(test it with the combat module.. yes frightening)
or being much more than badly hit.

In a generic rule I think that 2 ships of the same priority shouldn't be able to "one shoot kill" the other. (whatever the priority level).
Of course you can burn a lesser ship which is normal but look at a sharlin, it's powerful but very weak, one bad hit and it's gone(or so).

In order to be an Armaggedon ship it would require a "refit" maybe some more damage points and a few more AD.

I think the Sharlin should be armageddon, but we know that the Warlock is going back to war level anyway, and by the time of second ed, hopefully the neroon will have been released

It's funny, of the examples of Warlock and WS Gunship, it's not exactly guaranteed that either will be at their current PL in 2nd ed... anyway, if the Sharlin were at Armageddon PL, it would hardly ever get used (how often do you play games big enough?) and that would be a shame for such an iconic vessel.

Well aside from the Victory (also Armageddon PL), the others are due to a matter of perceived balance and value for "points". Hopefully most of the iconic ships will be a good choice and many are right now:

Primus (Tertius is better though)
Omega
G'Quan
Shadow Scout
all Vorlons
Nova
Olympus
Sharlin
Tinashi
Kaliva (not really an Avioki though)

Of course there are plenty that need a little work...

Yeah, would rather see the Avioki being the ship you want and the Kaliva filling the Apollo role as a bombardment ship. Of course locally we almost always take a Apollo over a Omega due to the way boresight works.

Leave the Sharlin as is, we can assume that its fearsome reputation is based on it's stealth and few folks making the necessary rolls.

Well in fact we rarely play under battle, most of time it's between 3 and 5 points of war or arm. For exemple our ISA player never uses Victory, he prefers his ws whereas shadows or EA players like to use their Arm ship.
Often playing minbari I prefer taking a Sharkaan and a Sharoos/Sharlin rather than a Neroon.

It's just a matter of choice/preference but we do use arm ships.
