Are there any material intended from Prax and Dorastor?

Cosmic Mongoose
This is just because I read that Pavis, born in Adari in the Second Age, animated the Faceless Statue, allied with the Horse People, defeated the Praxians, and made the city of Pavis from the statue's body.

Then Ralzakark, a demigod from the Second Age who knew Gbaji, and was killed by Arkat. He was brought back by the God Learners. He is now ruler of Dorastor.

It's the first time I read the God Learners brought back a chaos lord.

Yes, but this was noted back in the Dorastor campaign book published in the early 90s that the God Learners had re-awakened Dorastor (and presumably Ralzakark).

As to Prax? I just don't care all that much about Prax. After thirty years of publications, I am sick of Prax. Can't folks adventure somewhere else? I'm sicker of Prax than I am of Kyger Litor! :D

Sick of Prax? Why so?

This is just because I read in the upcoming Player's Guide to Glorantha that there are many possibilities to play PC's from the Praxian tribes. Thus it could be interesting to know that Pavis is a new born city.

Moreover Jaldon Goldentooth (or Tooth-Maker), born around 890 to a Bison clan, sacked Pavis in 940. He managed to unify all the tribes to help in the destruction of the EWF, but was cursed by them and can never return to Prax.

I am acting as a learned one because I just retrieved today many files I had on floppy disks dating back to 1998-2000 which I thought lost forever. 8)

Beause in the 3rd Age its an oft repeated chestnut. There are groups who have simply never, ever left Pavis/River of Cradles/Prax in their entire RQ gaming careers and...

...I just get tired of going back to the same old well again and again and again and again. Simply tired of writing more Prax/Pavis material for groups who simply won't adventure elsewhere.

Admittedly, 2nd Age is different but... its still Prax. Sigh.

Are you familiar with "A Rough Guide to Pavis City" which has been out for a few years and details 2nd Age Pavis? It's a pretty interesting look at the city in it's prime, with high magics, highly civilized society, etc.

I heard about it but didn't purchase it. I didn't know it concerned Pavis during the 2nd age.

Buy it if you can find it! It's one of my best loved Glorantha books, and it's got some serious competition in my shelf. If you are gaming in the second age, you seriously need to get that book.

I bought it direct from the company which is german, and it cost £3 including postage from Germany. It is brillaint and a must for anyone who wishes to portray Pavis during the 2nd Age, plently of scenario ideas in it and some actual scenarios as well.
