Anyone outlined space combat?

Treebore

Mongoose
Meaning done a flow chart or some kind of list or table to help make sure nothing gets skipped during the heat of battle?

God I could do with that, I'm about to run my first space combat, as a prep for a naval game - where something like that will be essential!

(Preferably in Word so I can jiggle with it!!!!!!)

I've done an excel spreadsheet, fitted to an A4 sheet and a half, which has all the necessary tables collated into one place, plus it may have a flow chart, though i dont remember
How does that sound?

Hmmm, perhaps I'll give this a go over the summer break and see if I can do something similar to my MGT Combat Flowchart with my shiny new copy of Visio 2010.

Sounds like a good start. I may have to dig up my old magazines. Somewhere in there was an great article on space combat for MegaT, so at the very least I could use that as a base line as well.

Here's a bit about tables... it might help someone when they get around to doing flow-charts / checklists for Space Combat.

I've got a copy of the Traveller's Referee's screen. Its got some useful space combat tables on it, including:- Vehicle damage table p67, Vehicle location table p67, Encounter distance p140, Missiles p147, Damage Location table p151, Bay weapons p112, Turret Weapons p111, Radiation tables p142, Sensors tables p144, Details by sensor p144, Crew Damage p151, Range table p146, Ship Damage p150, Weapon ranges p148

Prior to the screen coming out, I photocopied key tables and pasted them onto the inside front & back covers of the Core Rule Book.

When I bought the screen, I found that I didn't need the screen but I did need the tables. So I simply photocopied 4 pages of the screen and pasted them into the Core Rule Book, as before. The only improvements I did were:-
1. Highlighting table names with yellow highlighter.
2. Noting the Core Rule Book page number on each table.
3. Added some additional tables on other pages:-
Melee Weapons p98, Slug throwers p99, Energy weapons p100, Heavy Weapons p101, Armour p87, Grenades p101, Psionic Range Table p153, System hex format p167
