Any News? Please?

In all honesty, I believe Matt when he says the lawyers are holding this up, over on the SST boards, one of MGP's biggest detractors in the problems with BF and SST Evo has been given some degree of info on what's coming, and has done an about face in terms of his attitude towards the company's handling of the game.

So at what point does Mongoose get some lawyers? Seems like BFE is now at the mercy/control of this 'other' company. In another post on another thread, a Mongoose person had stated that the deal was supposed to meet an earlier date so Mongoose could start in time for their own release date schedule. This other company does not seem concerned about the immediate future of BFE.

How many days until tomorrow?

Anyone else get the feeling that this may all have been a lot of talk and no more than that?

I'll happily eat my words if I'm wrong, but there's something very odd here.

nah, just foot draggin'.

it'll come sooner or later. in the meantime, enjoy this great game and stop worrying about it!

As I understand it, the issue is with waiting for ageements to be signed rather than anything else. It's the kind of thing that can drag on for quite some time.

If Mongoose has schedules being pushed back causing them loss of potential income had they been able to meet those schedules, they should have lawyers available to prevent that. All what I believe is basic contract negotiation stuff. The negotiation doesn't really end until the actual final signing.

Just not true in my experience. I work for a large multi national and it can take weeks after the business managers have agreed on terms for legal and procurement types to check it against legislation and ratify everything. The bigger the contract the longer the wait and often when they do come back they have amendments that mean the cycle of sign off's start again. If you want something to take a long time get lawyers involved.
