Anti-fighter question

Are AF shots from the trait interceptable--for instnace, can one assign a fighter to run interceptor duty for another fighter that is attacking a ship?

Not with AF. Can't be intercepted or stopped by shields or dodged. No traits affect AF.

The key thing to remember here is that AF isn't a weapon as such so therefore isn't subject to being affected by things (e.g. Stealth, Dodge, Interceptors, etc.) that affect firing.

Personally, I think shields SHOULD stop AF.

The shadow fighters, specifically, suffer a great deal with their 2" range guns... They NEED some sort of protection as they are pretty expensive already. If I recall, they are the only fighters with shields anyway... So, this is just one way to fix an already underpowered fighter.
