another question for Matt

yep drops 2 AD but you'll gain back 5+ stealth...and if he's got stuff in the front arc of your ship...its all gravy baby!

well they have to get past the 2 rutarians and all its AF weapons, including a turreted AF TL weapon. the liati isnt as vunerable to fighters as a WS is.

yep if you want to miss out on their long range lasers the 1st turn and then come out close to the enemy to lower your own stealth then fine.

But you'll be in arc where enemy has weakest firepower and trouble to get around...

Stealth point is good one but victory jump pointing behind enemy fleet is plain rude. Especially if enemy happens to be centauri :D

Well thinking about it there ARE a few exceptions to not JPBombing with Minbari:

1) Tigaras. They WANT to come in firing at close range to work properly, so a JPBomb from their point of view is just a bit of extra bonus damage, so why not?

2) Torothas. Well to be frank Torothas are better used to hold jump points open for OTHER ships so they can come out CAFing, but if they Torotha MUST actually make the attack itself JPbombins probably a good idea as frankly it will do more damage than a CAFing Torotha anyway :P (disclaimer, much maligned as they are, I actually LIKE Torotahs, sure theyre not great but in reasonable numbers, or squadrons they can actually prove useful, and they make handy initiative sinks. Furthermore they tend to get ignored in favour of more dangerous targets which DOES add a bit to their survivability).

3) Fighter swarms. If your facing a big swarm of fighters jumping into the middle of them can actually be worth it if you can get enough of them in the shockwave. Sure they can dodge, but even thunderblots or WS fighters will take alot of hit and many WILL die. Nials are good but the less fighters they have to worry about the better. (and the more time they can spend attacking ships). Furthermore fighter swarms ARE actually a fairly serious threat to Minbari. Now they can ignore stealth at point blank range, a big swarm of TBolts can actually make fairly short work of most mid sized Minbari ships (or at very least inflict massive damage!)

Tigaras are THE jump point bomb ship!

yep true but a sharlin and Tigara popping behjind me would scare the B-Jes' outta most people and be tactically very astute
