Another Conan Font Question

Does anyone know the font used for story extracts?

Hyborian Italic is my guess ?

No! It's a completely different typeface to Hyborian... which is used for the Conan logo (based on the logo used in the Arnie movie, not that used on the poster) and for all the titles in the Mongoose books, on the McFarlane toys, etc. (The chapter headings are in a different typeface again, of course.)

Opening the "King Conan" PDF (kingconan.pdf) from the downloads page with a text editor (BBEdit, WordPad, etc.) lets you lift the hood: search for "font" and you'll find it has to be Gaze Normal. See here.

(The other hits are Hyborian, and Garamond - a classic serif typeface that is used for the body text - in Regular, Bold, Italic, and BoldItalic variants.)
