Advice on Impale/Bleed

So I know this has been discussed in previous threads, but I would like some advice on a house rule for the Impale CM, in particular against very large opponents.

Many large creatures have heavy armour scores which makes them resistant to the Impale CM, but I'm thinking specifically of a Giant, which is SIZ 50 but only has 3 Armour naturally. PC bowmen could rack up an impressive amount of Impale CMs at range and impose a crippling penalty on the Giant within rounds.

I like the image of a Giant blissfully unaware of the arrows sticking in it as it steps on the 'oomies, so what can I best do?

A) Toughen up the Giant. Add Armour to all locations which will reduce the number of succesful Impales.
B) Cap the Impale penalty. The penalties never stack, only the largest penalty (related to weapon size) applies. Ie. the spear in its gut (-20%) makes it forget the various arrows in its flesh (-10%). This could theoretically be applied as a house-rule for Impales in general, and has the advantage of being very simple.
C) Dream up some kind of "drop-off" for larger creatures to become unaffected by the Impale penalty. Ie. if the damage that penetrates Armour does not at least equal SIZ/10 of the creature, no Impale penalty is applied. Or some other similar equation.

I have similar concerns with the Bleed CM. The Giant has an impressive Resilience score, but a single lucky roll with even a Dagger could put a Giant out of commission. I am not completely happy with this. Perhaps a similar cap to option (C) above could be used for Bleeds?

I welcome your thoughts on this.

I think I'd just make up a new trait:

Large: This creature is large and hardened. It is immune from all combat manouvres from arrows, bolts and all weapons smaller than SIZ M (perhaps L instead?).

Or something like this.

I prefer this idea to the three offered by Ranger Dan. It seems simple and easy to use, no messing with calculators(option C) slowing the game down.
