ACTA tournament

My local store is interested in doing a large ACTA tournament. The store is based in a place called Joliet IL USA. I was wondering if I set is up how many people would be interested in signing up to play??? I was thinking of a 2 to 3 month set up time to give people plenty of time to sign up and make plans. So who would be interested? I would like to hear what time of year is best (as in when there are not other tournaments) what size games, ect. So let the brain storming begin.

There's a fairly large ACTA group in NW of Chicago that might be interested in showing up. We could have a 'battle for Chicago' type tournament!

I know I'd like play...as of now the only tournament scheduled in Chicago is for Jan. 13 (you should come play and meet some of the Games Plus folks!). Otherwise the calender is open.

As for game sizes, escalation format (5pt. skirmish/raid/battle) has proven popular despite running a bit longer. Organizer's call really.

Also, are you planning on doing prize support through the store? We typically charge $5/person which goes towards store gift certificates. Mongoose is also very good about supplying prizes. We have a monstrous amount for Chicago IV.

It would help to make some posters advertising the event and post them at your store in Joliet. Then post a thread here and ask LBH to sticky it...
