[ACTA:SF] BATS and MB minis

Any info about when these might be available?

Being as Mongoose hasn't released for sale the MB or BATS minis, I decided to see what I could improvise out of what I had on hand.

The result, while not ideal, worked out surprisingly well. :lol:

Thanks guys. I thought they were kind of cute, personally. Though the colors didn't work out quite as planned, especially with the BATS, I used what I had available.

Nice idea, although you'd better paint them soon. The dome on the MB has two serious problems - scale, and the fact that Paramount isn't the only company with IP lawyers.

Not sure when they are going to be more readily available, but I got an early production run in late August 2012. It was pretty rough, but with the right putty, sanding and decals it can look like this:

No. Here actually makes his own decals... although, once we get our hands on a MB mini and take the calipers to it - we [Tenneshington Decals] will have them available.

Federation first (not sure what configuration we'll have, that will be determined later)
followed by the other empires... hopefully rather quickly afterwards.

For those who need a BATS sooner than later, someone pointed this out to me. I'm rather tempted to get one for Origins, though I don't know if it would arrive in time for me to paint it up; have to see. I'm skittish of Shapeways after the last attempt at purchasing something from them, but this is very tempting.

Okay, thanks. My last Shapeways order took weeks, and then weeks more after they screwed it up.

I'll try one out and report back with pics.

The Shapeways offering is nice looking, but I'd rather have the real thing. Is there any update on when we might be able to buy the offical SL2500 BATS and MB? Its seems like they've been "coming soon" for an awfully long time.
