I was wondering during the end phase is it possible to deploy breaching pods in-contact with an enemy ship as long as its within the 4" deployment zone from the parent ship?

Yes, but they can't perform the boarding action until the next turn. So they will have to suffer 1 turn of AF fire anyway.
