ACTA Adaptive Armor

It halves total damage per weapon, including that sustained from crits.

Before anyone says "how can a reactor explosion damage be halved by adaptive armour"... I say how can a reactor explosion damage be doubled by double damage weapons :P

so double damage and triple damage effects also affect crit damage as well I thought otherwise.
Yes, double damage, triple damage and adaptive armour affect crit damage as well as normal damage. For Adaptive Armour, you calculate the total damage from normal damage and crits for that weapon, then halve it rounding down.

Which do you round down, the damage done or the damage prevented? My understanding from past items was that the rounding should always go in favor of the defender so 3 damage before Adaptive Armour is apllied would result in 1 point of damage caused and 2 blocked. Is that right?

Correct.

1 damage caused --> 1 damage suffered
3 damage caused --> 1 damage suffered
6 damage caused --> 3 damage suffered
13 damage caused --> 6 damage suffered

You round down the damage inflicted, and it has been stated before that all rounding in aCTA is down unless stated otherwise.

Yeah that is what I thought, at this point though I can never remember what the current "official" ruling is on items. Thanks everyone for clarifying.
