Thats what I want to see, Some varient with a advanced nuke warhead. I am guessing it would be a glorified emine or the like. (quad or quint damage, SuperAP, Slow-loading, twin-linked, now that would suck)
Quad damage Shadow missiles? Now THAT will push the PL up another notch!
Any ideas on where to mount the launcher? Shadow Missiles are huge y'know. About the size of a Drazi Sunhawk IIRC. Not that it wouldn't fit a ship with such a glorious name... 8)
I'm thinking of one large launcher mounted underslung along the main hull. Depending on the relative size of the missile, it may end up being one shot too. Super AP, Quad Damage and Precise will be definite traits to give this, and some rule to make it immune to interceptors.
Sounding better and better...
Although for a 1 shot missile it had better be really good. After all, the original Shadow missile had a giga-ton warhead. I don't see how any ship (or station) of the younger races could have survived a hit.
Maybe someone should write a campaign scenario, in which the Red October a unique ship of the Typhoon (Shadow-Apollo) class for being super-stealthy or something like that...
An alternative idea I'm playing with is to take off the standard missile racks either side of the Apollo and mount a Shadow missile either side of the hull. And yes, I would plan on each missile being hideous - probably a handful of SAP Precise Quad Damage AD just to represent a single missile. Either way, I fully plan on modelling it when I get a chance
