760 Patrons second go around...

Treebore

Mongoose
This just arrived today.

HOLY CRAP is it big!!

Cybernetics arrived with it too.

So I got a lot of reading to do, especially since I just got two of my Eclipse Phase books a couple of days ago. Won't be done until after I get back from Gary Con too. At least I have a lot to look forward to when I get back home.

I've seen a bit of the PDF; I don't tink its quite as good/comprehensive/useful as 76 Patrons.... but I have yet to see the hardback.

(I'm getting the hardback for my birthday in April, but sneaked a peak at the PDF that came with it)

Yeah, I have only looked through it and read a selection of entries, maybe 20 or 30, and I am very pleased already.

Yeah, I read a bunch more of these after making my earlier post. I really do like this book. Each entry has 3 to 4 little seeds to get your mind going, and angle on the NPC themselves, and it really works for me. I have a couple of dozen story ideas running around in my head now. With no game currently running! :x

Anyways, if you have bought the other recent releases, the Patrons in the back follow this same format, just this book gives you hundreds of them, and thousands of potential story hooks.

I've been enjoying both Cybernetics and 760 Patron's part deux since I got them. OMG what a fun book the patrons is, my games just went up a notch.

I just don't know how they came up with all these characters and it's a fairly diverse mix too.

So need an adventure? Take one random patron from 760 Patrons II, take one random "encounter" from 760 Patrons I as a complication, and throw in a group from 1001 characters as adversaries (depending on mission type). Shake well and serve.

Look at me, I just invented my own Campaign Guide!

I'd rather stir with a glass rod and pour gently.. when you shake the mix you chip the ice causing it to melt faster... all you're doing is creating a weak Martini and being 'snootie' about it *grin*

Gotta love President Bartlet from 'The West Wing'
