5 point Raid Dilgar (2e)

Okay, I reckon this is about as hitty as I can get the Dilgar at 5 point Raid in 2e, within the tourney 8 ship limit.

3 Targrath
3 Ochlavita
2 Jashakar Tae

I can't make it to the tourney, but would this frighten anyone?
 
Don't think so. The firepower loss isn't worth it in smaller games.

In a larger game, I'd take Pentacons lead by Ochlavitas.
 
Probably right - just conscious of how many times I loose iniative rolls by 1 point ! :) Still my Balvarian helps now :)
 
I'd actually say for just one ship, the Command bonus is well worth taking a single command variant. That fleet looks pretty decent though.

I won't be taking it to this tourney but was considering the sledgehammer Dilgar approach with
3 x Katrik So
3 x Rohric
2 x Jashakar Vi

Aside from the Scouts there are no "weak" ships so all firepower must fall on a very tough hull. I know they're quite slow but with two of the missions focussing on the centre of the table this isn't so much of a problem either.

Just pointing out the Dilgar have some real options now!
 
Just played a 2E game with my new books yesterday, a 5 point Battle game.

Dilgar: 1 Mishakur, 1 Tikrit, 3x Targrath, 1x ochlavita ki and 2x Jashakar vi

Narn: 2 Dagkar, 2 Gkarith, 2 Katocs, 1 rongoth, 4 Sho'kar, 4 Shokov, 4 thentus (IIRC, there were many :) )

The game was a narrow victory for the Narn, having only 4 almost crippled hulls left.

thoughts: Fighters are still useless against narn, although you can have some succes suicidebombing a few ships (when played correctly, he doesn't have a chance to Ebomb thenm), espcially Sho'kars because they have no antifighter, are stealth which you ignore and are hull 4 :)

The Mishakur is a beast, 20AD F bolters are madness. Combined with his secondary weapons, he all but wiped out 2 dag'kars in one round.

I give a big thumbs up for 2E :lol:
