2e Star Wars mod?

Anyone made one yet? Anyone working on one? Got some minis and thought I might show off the ACTA rules with some Star Wars ships to some friends.

The original mod was written using the playtest rules of 2e, it includes anti-fighter, shields and the like. So it should be pretty much compatible.

Thanks for the reply, Greg Smith. It was a most helpful file and I'm glad to be using one that Mongoose put together. Looks good enough to at least get started with.

I tried some Wing Commander Versions some time ago, but I couldn't find a decent solution to represent this universe's feeling and technologie.

At least the fighters are a problem because of their variety and number of guns. The Cap ships and not easy to build, too as there is a lack of technical data for their armament and role in the fleet.

the star wars mod was actually under revision as when i played matt the imps had too easy a time of things against the rebels.

Which miniatures do you use? I never saw any Star Wars ships miniatures...

WotC do a collectable SW minigame. Wizkids do a card model miniatures game.

the WOTC miniatures are quite nice, although the wings on fighters tend to be bent a lot, and of course the fighters are oversized.

I never liked the rules from WOTC. No firing arcs, ugly movement. Very less detail.

Too, I didn't like a collectible Starships game. May it be Prepainted Plastic or Collectibe Cards.

A lot of the time, I play with added range rules to make things a bit more interesting. Now if we could just get more ships....

I think there's been a lot of talk about 2nd edition, but I'm not sure... I'd be happy with a few freighter -minis, as I've got a large collection of customs already. Here's my gallery pics, there's both customs and original minis: http://www.iki.fi/~twilek/starwars/swsb.html

Yeah, the rules sucked. I'd love to see new better rules for the game! I could also try ACTA rules with the game, but don't want to create many stats myself... Rules might also need some small heroic twist.
