[2300AD] Texas @Beta Hydri

According to the 2300AD sourcebook, the writeup on Texas indicates they have a colony at Beta Hydri. Their UNP places the number of Texas colonies at 4. But there is no mention in the BH writeup nor is it listed in the colony list. Thoughts? Secret base, perhaps?

Well it must be so secret that it’s not mentioned anywhere that I can see.

In the original 2300/2300Ad/2320 publications and web sites there is no mention of Texas being on Beta Hydri.

The far more detailed Beta Hydri world write up in the old colonial atlas mentions the Japanese and Arabian colonies and a handful of research groups at the Eber ruins but no Texans.

The on line articles for 2300 on the collective and the old sites also include nothing about Texas on that world. The Texas rangers are listed as having off world detachments on Heidelsheimat, Austin's World and Komoran. There do not seem to be any Texas Rangers on Beta Hydri which would eliminate the possibility of having a colony there.

In fact the only mention of Texans on the world is that Texas has a consulate run by a Texas family. ( https://sites.google.com/site/2300adcollective2/clients/a-guide-to-arabia-s-beta-hydri-colony-2300 see diplomatic relations half way down)
This is located next door to the American Consulate and is listed on the collective as being mostly for dealing with Texans visiting the ruins as trade or business matters are handled through the American consulate.

Give the most wise and all knowing writer a poke and see if he has something hidden on Beta Hydri

Yes, I was unable to find any mention of Texas @ Beta Hydri in my GDW/FFE source materials, either, which caused me to wonder whether its mention in the writeup on Texas was a 2320 thing, which I don't have access to.

It makes sense for Texas to have an installation of some sort at Beta Hydri, gateway to two of their colony worlds.

IM2300U, the Eber and Muslims share a special Glorious Mystery, which makes the UAR presence on Kormoran a lot less sleazy and opportunistic than is depicted in the Ranger sourcebook. It also makes the situation for the Texas colony a lot more prickly and precarious than just gunning down a few marauding tootling Eber owlhoots with a long rifle. That Glorious Mystery might also help explain the interest of Arab fundamentalists on Beta Hydri, which makes a Texan diplomatic presence there additionally important.

...So, just checking.
