The ogres are essentially stronger meaner humans. Going with the Conan theme they would have to be either ape-men (ala Thak in "Rogues in the House") or grey apes (ala "Iron Shadows of the Moon").
The lizard men could easily be Alligator Pict style natives. Giants would have to be ape-men or...
It would work.
You would want to remove most of the "D&D" monsters, such as the intelligent cat-things. The intelligent spiders would simply become giant spiders, etc.
The Kopru might be okay. I would make them more like Deep Ones, from Lovecraft. An "innocent" village of simple primitives...
The natural healing rate in Conan is double that of D&D. Additionally, rest & healing skill checks can accelerate that even further.
Magic in Conan is dangerous, corrupting and deadly. Readily available benevolent magic, like healing potions, would be contrary to that trope.
Road of Kings is an excellent source book. It will definitely help. The core rulebook has enough basic info, but RoK fleshes it out.

The above two links are better than the wikipedia.

I have Hyboria's Fiercest & Fallen. I just got Finest, but it's en route. As far as the first two go, they're pretty good. No regrets about buying them at all.
As far as the Temptress class goes, I pictured that being an NPC oriented class. I don't think any of the people I play with...
It can be very tough. RL definitely interferes with Game Time. So you do what you gotta do. If pre-mades are the only way you can play then thats how you play.
A good compromise is to work on a "sprawling epic" while you run the pre-mades. It doesn't matter if you run one homebrew for...

Dr. Skull's were good.
I haven't seen the good doctor around here for a while, but the adventures he posted were well done. I'm jealous of The Lost Garrison. I wish I'd thought of it.
Walking around unarmed would be like wearing a sign saying: "Victim".
Everyone would carry at least a dagger. Those to wealthy for a dagger would hire thugs to carry weapons for them. Even in the "safest" of cities, daggers and cudgels would be the norm rather than the exception.
Daggers...
The Atlanteans were barbarians even before the cataclysm. Afterwards, warfare with the picts caused them to devolve back into ape-men, then eventually they evolved back up to men becoming Cimmerians. All of this took 8-12 thousand years.
Acheron was a sorcerously skilled empire that was destroyed during the Hyborian drift. If you have the Conan core rules, there's some info on it near the back.
Acheron was an EVIL empire and the people were evil by nature and sorcerously inclined by bloodline.
By comparison, Acheron makes...
