Ciao,
Sorry to be away for so long but having your first child (now a second on the way) gets in the way of games sometimes.
I'd assumed Agis would have come out with his Italian Compendium by now, but I guess Gear Krieg is taking up his time (as well it should, it looks awesome! :D...
True.
Mainly I did the list because I spent a lot of years at the university studying history and Italian language & culture and I wanted to. :D
The Corazzate (Armored Divisions) have the equipment options to make them the most interesting as a "first list" (Bersaglieri, Tanks, all the...
Thanks for the feedback, sorry for the sad state of the document. In early October we had our first child (a daughter) so I haven't had much chance to revise. Hopefully the holidays will allow for much gaming and refinement. Any grammar errors and problems please heap on my shoulders. :wink...
1 - Didn't try it - basically just an issue with teaching the rules as printed and making sure players understand the rules.
2 - Tried it, I personally liked it but I think some might not like it because if they like bringing jeeps and small transport vehicles then this rule (due to the...
Locally we just allow a Ready action to be taken to reman the gun and just treat crew like Hits. The gun stops shooting when they're all dead. Dead crew are removed if removable or a bead is placed next to the dead ones to mark casualties if diorama.
We don't bother with reduced rate of fire...
I don't think I agree with the logic of that line of thought.
Are there any surviving longbowman skeletons apart from those on the Mary Rose? Is there sufficient evidence to assume that all longbowmen were thus deformed? Did the men at Agincourt have such deformations a century earlier? At...
Just to make sure I'm not looking in the wrong places... this forum and EvoCommand are mainly for the modern versions of the rules and the WW2 stuff is kinda "attached" ... yes?
Is there a primarily World at War forum/site/fansite equivalent? :?:
Going with pound draw then I would have to amend my previous post and the Mongol bow would be the "long" bow as there are surviving Khergit bows with draw pulls of 160-180 lbs. which is the same as the surviving bows from Mary Rose.
The Diakyu was every bit as long as the Longbow and depending on your bias was as good or better than a yew longbow (Daikyu is a laminate construction etc.).
If the system has to have a "medium" bow, I suppose an argument could be made that the Mongol/Khergit deep recurve bow would best fill...
Yup. For our stuff we've said "Helmet to helmet, cupola to cupola" and it's worked fairly well for us. But most folks bring 1/72 (cheap), 28mm (traditional these days), or 1/35 (because they have Tamiya stuff).
Howdy back at'cha. :D
This is definately my favorite WW2 ruleset. It's pretty much "done" (Agis and the gang did good work) though I've found that making house rules to suit individual group tastes is the norm rather than the exception.
This is no problem for friendly games amongst friends...
Yeah, I gotta go with the bigger numbers on this one. Since yall mean grenades on par with a M67; even with Shootin' Zones of 3" (6" with Auto trait)... (and realizing this is a game and ranges are all abstracted)... I'd at least make the center point 10 inches (approx. 30 meters at the scales...
